Because humans are survival creatures, we dismiss truth of life as being nonsense.
I've noticed that after I write, or think about certain things, I attract the people who want to read it, or hear it. Love is a flow that goes into you , through you, and away from you. The problem is, is that your ego blocks the flow. The first talent is to receive love from God. The second talent is to emit it in a stream of light.
Here is an excellent self suggestion: Today I will expand my aura of love.
Then, this day takes care of itself, and you are not led into death, danger, or fear. Lead me not into temptation, and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.
The Buddhists say to get rid of desire. This is sheer futility to try. Rather, you realize you have eternal life, when you no longer desire anything in the world. Desirelessness is a sign of an old souls experience. He has tried everything the world has to offer. He is ready , willing and able for the freedom of true life.
This from Gregory of Nyssa: You are made in the likeness of that nature which surpasses all understanding......Nothing in all creation can equal your grandeur. If you realize this, you will no longer marvel even at the heavens.....For the heavens pass away, but you will abide for all eternity with him who is forever.
Finally, a Christian who understands self realization! I believe he was contemporary with Augustine.
Go through death again! Right now! See?! It doesn't happen!
I saw a car called a Mazda Tribute. I thought it said Trilobite. A much cooler name. A car named after an ancient crustacean that used to rule planet earth.
Huston Smith brings up an interesting point: Both science and religion think there is something much more than appearances. I know there is, and I yearn for altered experience of reality, and eternal life, and freedom of thought!
If you have a history of fighting with somebody, you very well may be reborn as siblings. Realize that that is what you also were, when you were fighting on opposite sides of a religion, or war, or philosophy.
If a Guy claims he is God, but never harms anyone or steals, and who actually teaches people about love, then why do you hate and persecute him?
Because he's not Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus! Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus can claim that, not you!!,
No, you can claim this. You did not create your mind, body, nor the love within you.
Maybe in one life, I'm coming home from work. I put my hat on the hat rack and yell " hi honey, I'm home!" Like Ward cleaver. And my wife comes out wearing a slinky dress and pearls, cuz she's been doing the vacuuming . Now that is a woman, eh guys? Let's do it right here on the dining room table!
That's a good life too! For those who don't know, June Cleaver would do housework in a dress and pearls...........and her hair was perfect! ROWR!
There is no reason to set myself up on anything that pre exists in the world. Merton tried to distance himself from Christianity, too, but wasn't quite courageous enough.

I looked at the island in the lake. The trees over there became musicians in appearance . You see, if you control your creativity with love and beauty, the gift of creation from God becomes a wonderful gift to you indeed!
I watched cars going down the road at night from the bridge that spans it. Reminded me of driving through the northern forests at night.
I wonder if the annunaki placed that idea of staying with the name of Jesus through everything into mankinds head, because it is a powerful manipulative tool for them
